Hey everyone, I recently ran into a discussion about the Mercury 450R and got pretty curious. I’m kind of new to the world of boat engines and was wondering if anyone here has experience with it. If you haven’t already, keep an eye on the supercharger belt and carry a spare-you’ll thank yourself if you ever hear that unfortunate snap far from shore. And consider budgeting for premium fuel. The 450R’s appetite isn’t exactly “economical,” unless your idea of a meal is five cheeseburgers for breakfast.
